Tighten loose dresser drawer knobs by dipping the end of the
screw in replace the knob in the hole to dry snugly.
Tenderize meat with Nestea: Mix Nestea and use one part tea
to one part double-strength beef stock as the liquid in a pot
roast or stew. The tannin in the tea tenderizes meat.
Give yourself a moisturizing facial with Quaker Oats: Make
a paste from Quaker Oats, lemon juice, and honey. Apply to
face, let sit for ten minutes, then rinse with warm water.
Remove crayon marks from wallpaper with a Conair Pro Style
1600 blowdryer: Set the dryer on hot until the wax heats up,
then wipe clean with a paper towel.
Canada Dry Club Soda
-- Remove wine spills or other spots from carpet. Apply to the
stain, rub it in, wait a few minutes, and sponge it off.
-- Remove food stains from clothes. Immediately blot up the
spills on any washable fabric, sponge with Canada Dry Club
Soda, then wash the item in the wash through a regular cycle.
-- Clean countertops. Pour Canada Dry Club Soda directly on
the counter, wipe with a soft cloth, then rinse with warm
water, and wipe dry.
Coca-Cola
-- Loosen a rusted bolt by applying a cloth soaked in a
Coke to the rusted bolt for several minutes.
-- Remove rust spots from chrome car bumpers. Rubbing the
bumper with acrumpled-up piece of Reynolds Wrap aluminum
foil dipped in Coca-Cola will help remove rust spots.
-- The Coca-Cola Consumer Information Center offersa free
packet of recipes including a Mustard Herb Dressing (an
Italian style salad dressing made with one-half cup of
Coca-Cola), a Twin CheeseDip (requiring three-quarter cup
of Coca-Cola and doubling as a sandwichfilling), and
Sweet-Sour Cabbage (using one-half cup of Coca-Cola and two
tablespoons of bacon drippings).
